STEAM GUN

To avoid spurting of heavy and moist steam the steam gun should only be used with one of the cleaning brushes or tools attached, included with your steam cleaner.

The switch on the steam gun is to turn the steam on and off. Adjust the steam volume using the control knob on top of the steam cleaner.

Condensed water may initially be ejected from the steam gun. Begin by pointing the steam gun at a cloth until a steady flow of steam comes out of the steam gun.

RECTANGULAR OR TRIANGULAR HAND SIZED TOOL
Most cleaning applications will require the use of a cotton cleaning cloth which can be clipped on to the hand sized tool. Typical applications will include smaller washable areas, such as, kitchen and bathroom surfaces, windows, mirrors, car interiors and upholstery.
WINDOW TOOL

Before you use the window tool for the first time go over window with the hand brush and cotton cloth to remove any traces of grease and chemical from the surface.

Evenly cover the entire glass surface with a mist of steam applied from a distance of around 10-20 cm. Some window tools have a thick rubber blade which can be used to loosen sticky grime. Tilt the window tool and squeegee from left to right or from top to bottom of window. Wipe any excess water from the squeegee blade with every pass.
Extension tubes added to the steam gun with the window tool on the end will allow you to clean high hard to reach windows.

Note:- To prevent glass cracking warm the glass first by misting steam onto the surface to warm the glass. Avoid applying steam to one spot. Do not steam clean windows in cold weather.

DETAIL CREVICE TOOL

The crevice tool can be used without any additional accessories, typical applications include:

Eliminating odours and creases in clothing. This can be done by first placing garment on a clothes hanger and applying steam from a distance of around 10 - 20 cm. The garment can be finished with dry steam from the high steam iron applied in vertical strokes.

Removing dust from plants. Maintain a distance of around 20 - 40 cm to avoid burning foliage by direct contact with steam.

Cleaning furniture. Apply a small amount of steam to a clean cloth and wipe over furniture.

DETAIL CREVICE BRUSHES

The cleaning force of steam can also be increased with the use of different brushes. Your steam cleaner comes with a nylon cleaning brush as standard. Optional brushes are sometimes also available and are suitable for different cleaning applications.

Nylon brush - The nylon brush is suitable for most cleaning applications including; grout, taps, sliding door runners, toilets and bathrooms, fridge seals, engine parts and most difficult to reach areas around your home.

Brass Brush - The brass brush is suitable for more stubborn dirt where a more abrasive action will not affect the surface, such as BBQ plates.

Natural bristle brush - The natural bristle brush is perfect for cleaning more delicate surfaces where you don't want to leave any scratches, such as painted surfaces, cornices, & architrave's.

FLOOR TOOL

Fold a cotton cleaning cloth lengthways to form a long rectangular shape. Attach one end under the retaining clip and pull tight before attaching the other end. Old towels and nappies are ideal.

Replace cloth regularly so that more dirt can be collected and to avoid too much moisture being applied to the floor and leaving it wet.

Heavily soiled areas will require more attention to allow steam more time to act on the dirt while lightly soiled and smooth surfaces will only require a quick wipe over.

If there are traces of detergent or polish on the surface you are cleaning (e.g. wax, kerosene, polish, etc.), this could result in streaks. As a rule these streaks will disappear after a couple of cleans with the steam cleaner.

The floor tool is suitable for all hard washable surfaces such as sealed timber & parquetry, ceramic tiles, vinyl, windows and painted surfaces.

Note: When using floor tool to clean timber, parquetry, painted walls and ceiling make sure that cotton cleaning cloth is securely attached to avoid bristles scratching surface.

CARPET SLIDE

The carpet slide attaches over the floor tool brush when a brushing action is not required and can be used to rejuvenate carpet pile and kill fleas and dust mites.

Note:- Allergy sufferers will also require killed fleas and dust mites to be extracted from the carpet. The use of a good quality vacuum cleaner both before and then 20 minutes after steaming is recommended.
