Steam Cleaners have changed our lives by improving our living and working environment to one that is odour and chemical free, far better for our health and our comfort. While steam cleaners will loosen dirt and grease, a cloth is generally needed to collect the mess. Soft furnishing such as mattresses, carpets and lounges can certainly be cleaned and sanitised with a straight steam cleaner, but a pre-vacuum is recommended to remove loose dust etc. and you must follow with another vacuum 20 minutes after steaming (allowing the steam time to dry) to collect what the steam has dislodged. With the Steam-Vacuum you only need to vacuum while you steam to get a deep down clean. Dust mites don’t stand a chance.

The Steam Vacuum uses a water filtration system. The steam and dirt passes through a container of water and comes out as clean air, unlike with so many of the dry vacuum systems that seem to pick up the dirt on the floor and blow it all over the furniture. Water filtration is ideal for those who suffer from "sick building syndrome", asthma and allergies. You can easily see the results as the water discolours from the collection of dirt. Wet vacuuming and frequent rinsing of the canister means that you will not have to subject yourself to a toxic bag or canister of breeding bacteria and dust mites.

When you simply want to vacuum OR steam, you can.

• Use the vacuum feature alone as an air purifier to remove odours quickly from the room. Perfect if you should burn the roast just before the guests arrive for dinner.

• Use the wet vacuum feature to pick up accidental liquid spills. No more slippery floors or soggy carpets.

• In many models the vacuum can be reversed to a blower. Some even come with an optional spa mat to put in the bath tub.

• Like the steam cleaners, the Steam-Vacuums also have the option of an iron attachment, and of course a full range of cleaning tools come as standard.
